New: 24-hr timeline to Complete Focus Area Assessments

MS Students,

I hope you are well.  I sure appreciate the emails from all of you.  Keep them coming!  I love hearing what you are up too.  

Many of you have jumped back onto Summit Learning.  Great job!  In this weeks memo, I encouraged all students to work on: 
Focus Areas (power, challenge and additional) 
• Complete the diagnostic test to check current knowledge on topic, 
• Study the resources and take notes, and 
• Complete assessment at home.
 Check Points
• Work on checkpoints within the projects. 
• Email teachers with questions. 

Please note that once a focus area has been approved by a teacher you have 24 hours to complete the assessment.  This timeline has previously been 10 minutes, and was changed this week to accommodate at home assessments.  It is helpful if you send an email to your teacher to let them know that you have requested an assessment.  Teachers will be monitoring emails from 8:30AM to 3:30PM on Monday-Thursday.

MS COVID-19 Memo #3

Good Evening Mary Walker Families,

Attached is this next week's enrichment packet. I encourage everyone to complete the lessons, challenges, and activities included in this packet. Additionally, all students are encouraged to sign onto the Summit Learning platform to work on focus areas and checkpoints!

Keep an eye on Facebook for our next challenge. Last week we had many families participate in the Facebook challenge and the lucky winner of the drawing was the Altamirano Family. They won an Ice Cream Sundae basket. Check out the new Facebook challenge for our next photo challenge. We are looking for photos that highlight learning in mathematics. We look forward to seeing your math pictures.

Remember, next week is Spring Break…kind of odd to think that way during this COVID-19 Closure. The meal delivery will continue on Wednesday, but the middle school team will not be publishing a weekly packet.
