8th Grade Parents:
With the closure of school, we know there are so many of our eighth graders missing out on activities, memories, and experiences of being an eighth grader. To help them feel special and remembered, there is a Facebook group put together on their behalf. This group is for parents/guardians to showcase their son/daughter and then someone in the community "adopts" them. When a community member "adopts" them, they will get in contact with you, to see what your son/daughters likes or dislikes and what they can do to support them during this time.
This is voluntary, and if you would rather your son/daughter did not participate, that is fine. To join the Facebook group, search for the group called, "Support a Springdale 8th Grade Student" If you do not have access to Facebook and would like your child to participate you can email Jaymi Stricker and I will put your child onto the group to be "adopted."
This is NOT a school sponsored event, and something started to recognize and acknowledge our eighth graders hard work, and being promoted to high school. If you have any questions feel free to email me at the address above.
Thanks,
Jaymi Stricker
